1. There shall be 5 classes in this division classified according to the total car weight divided by total cubic inches engine displacement.
Designations: A/G, B/G, C/G, D/G, or E/G preceded by car number
- Class ‘A’ – 0 to 8.99 # per cu in
- Class ‘B’ – 9.00 to 10.99 # per cu in
- Class ‘C’ – 11.00 to 12.99 # per cu in
- Class ‘D’ – 13.00 to 13.99 # per cu in
- Class ‘E’ – 14.00 and up # per cu in
2. Must have a coupe or sedan body produced by an automobile manufacturer. May be chopped, channeled, or sectioned for a total height reduction of 4 inches. Four stock fenders are required.
3. Must have legal equipment required for operation on the street, including started & generator in good working order, & must be properly licensed for current year’s operation. Rear bumpers will be required in this division. Cars in this division must be started under own power. Fans & belts are optional. Radiator required.
4. Interiors may not be gutted. Must run full factory-type upholstery. Bucket seats (two) may replace front seats in coupes or two-door sedans, but be fully upholstered.
5. Must be equipped with mufflers suitable for street use. Headers with maximum of two head-pipes per car, will be permitted, but exhaust system shall be so constructed that mufflers remain on the car at all times. Header plugs or by-passes may be open during competition running.
6. Must have full transmission. Quick-change rear-ends, locked differentials or ratchet-type rear-ends (high torque) are permissible with safety hubs. 4 wheel brakes required.
7. Engined may not be relocated. Only one engine permitted.
8. Cars equipped with superchargers will be advanced into the next higher class in this division.
